Crawford lifts Mohabir Baljeet Sukhpaul Memorial title

The various winners, organisers and Sukhpaul family take a photo opportunity at the end of the Mohabir Baljeet Sukhpaul Memorial 46-mile road race on Sunday.

National cyclist, Romello Crawford, won a three-way dash to the finish line to lift the Mohabir Baljeet Sukhpaul Memorial 46-mile road race Sunday.

The race, which was organized by the Flying Ace Cycling Club, began in front of the New Amsterdam-based Sukhpaul Gas Station with the riders in pursuit of the checkered flag stationed at the other Sukhpaul’s Gas Station in Corriverton.

The 23-year-old Crawford, who has been plying his trade overseas for the last couple of years, stopped the clock at two hours and 11 minutes. The sprint saw Crawford winning by half of a wheel.
