Education Minister visits site hosting scholarships programme

Minister of Education Priya Manickchand yesterday toured the Ogle site which will house the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) which will be presiding over 20,000 scholarships in five years.

A release from the Ministry of Education said that the offices of GOAL will be housed on the Ogle Estate, East Coast Demerara.  As reported before, the Academy will be headed by former University of Guyana Vice Chancellor Dr. Jacob Opadeyi. The release said that the Minister engaged Dr. Opadeyi and the staff of GOAL on the programme.
