President Irfaan Ali yesterday offered support and solidarity to St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves as experts warned that an eruption of the La Soufrière Volcano on the island was imminent.
In a statement, Ali said:
“Having regards to the emerging situation in St Vincent and the Grenadines, this afternoon I called Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves and assured him of Guyana’s full support in dealing with this looming crisis.
