Linden man pleads guilty to killing ex-lover’s partner

Colwyn Arthur

Linden resident, Colwyn Arthur, now awaits sentencing after pleading guilty to the 2018 killing of Claude `Sonno’ DeJonge, who at the time shared a relationship with a woman Arthur was also once involved with.

Arthur called `Cross Eye,’ had initially been indicted for murder; but admitted to the lesser offence of manslaughter when the matter was called yesterday morning before Justice Sandil Kissoon at the High Court in Georgetown.

He admitted to the May 10th, 2018 charge which states that he unlawfully killed the 40-year-old taxi driver at his reputed wife’s 1074 Cinderella City, Mackenzie, Linden home.
