Sans Souci defeated Noitgedacht Sports Club by 141 runs while Maria’s Pleasure and Sans Souci Jaguars also recorded victories in the Wakenaam Cricket Badri Prasad Memorial T20 competition.
Playing at the Essequibo Island’s premier facility, the Wakenaam Community Centre ground, San Souci opted to bat after winning the toss and piled up a massive 207 for six before returning to rout Noitgedacht for 66 in 14 overs.
Sans Souci’s batting was piloted by Seon Venture who raced to an unbeaten 60 which was decorated by three sixes and five fours. Tamesh Charritar chipped in with 38 while cameos from Devon Rambaran (21) and Cleon Venture (20) were crucial. Jamal Browne bagged three wickets to finish as the most successful bowler for Noitgedacht.
