Cop charged with assaulting colleague who allegedly shot him during slipper row

A police constable was yesterday charged with assaulting a fellow officer after a row about a missing slipper.

David Lampkin, 24, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts where Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan read the assault charge to him before releasing him on self-bail.

It is alleged that on January 31, at the Brickdam Police Station, he unlawfully assaulted Corinth Corbin, a police constable.
