The Babulall and Son T10 softball tournament bowled off Sunday in Essequibo with Brian Mangar smashing the first century of the competition.
In the Open Category, Mangar’s unbeaten ton ensured Queenstown/Ariel XI a comfortable 132-run win over Essequibo Eagles. Mangar’s unit won the toss and elected to bat piling up 181 for four in their 10 overs. They then dismissed Crown XI for 49 in seven overs.
Mangar cracked 11 sixes and two fours on his way to 105 not out. He received support from Jonathan Fernandes who made 28, decorated with two sixes and a four.
