A 29-year-old woman from Jawalla in Region Seven who tested positive for COVID-19 has died.
According to a member of the Village Council, the woman fell ill a few days ago but her condition rapidly deteriorated as the days passed. Eventually she was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where she tested positive for COVID-19. It was revealed that she died during the wee hours of yesterday.
The ministry is yet to send out a statement regarding this death.
