Security guard charged with breaking into friend’s home

A security guard who is accused of breaking into his friend’s home and stealing jewellery and cash was put on $10,000 bail.

Neil Clarke, 27, was arraigned at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday  where he pleaded with Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus for bail to be the smallest amount after being read the break and enter and larceny charge.

The charge against him states that on May 4, 2021, at East Ruimveldt, he broke and entered the dwelling house of Marcia Steele and stole $45,000 cash, three gold chains, two gold rings and a gold band, amounting to $415,000, property of Marcia Steele.
