Two men were arrested on Friday evening after they attempted to invade the premises of an overseas-based Guyanese at Number 11 Village, West Coast Berbice.
According to the police, one of the suspects was shot during his arrest and he is presently hospitalised under police guard.
The Guyana Police Force in a statement on Saturday explained that around 9.15 pm on Friday, an overseas-based Guyanese woman contacted the Fort Wellington Police Station and reported that she and her family members were in their yard socializing when they observed an unidentified male jump into her backyard while another male was trying to jump into the yard from another fence.
