Father of five dies after being crushed by truck at Port Kaituma

A father of five was on Saturday crushed by a truck he was driving after he fell out of the vehicle when it toppled down a hill at 26 Miles Port Kaituma, in Region One.

Dead is Sheldon Dainty, 37, a driver of La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara. The Guyana Police Force said Dainty was pronounced dead after he was transported to the Port Kaituma District Hospital after the accident.

According to a Guyana Police Force statement, on Saturday morning at 6.15 am, Dainty was driving a truck, #GSS 4472, at 26 Miles, Port Kaituma, with two other occupants in the vehicle. They were Bryan Singh, 40, of Parika, East Bank Essequibo, and Kurt Hernandez, 34, of 1 Mile Port Kaituma.
