Adyemi Dumisani Hinds, who was set to travel to the United States, is now behind bars after he was charged and remanded over a quantity of cocaine that authorities say was found in his hand luggage at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).
Hinds, who is said to be a gold miner and resident of Iguana Drive, North Ruimveldt, appeared at the Diamond/Grove Magistrate’s Court last Thursday and Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman remanded him to prison on a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
