Four arrested after St Ignatius home invasion

Four men are now in police custody after a home invasion at St. Ignatius Village, Central Rupununi.

The attack occurred on Thursday night when the victims, a pregnant 18-year-old teacher and a 26-year-old mechanic, were in bed.

According to the Guyana Police Force, three suspects, each armed with a cutlass, kicked down their front door and began to inflict several lashes and chops to the body of the mechanic, who eventually escaped.
