Aircraft landing at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri (CJIA) in poor visibility conditions will soon be guided in more safely when the recently installed $200 million Instrument Landing System (ILS) at the facility comes on stream.

According to a Department of Public Information (DPI) report, CJIA’s acting Manager of Air Traffic Services Trevor Daly said the new system will ensure better line of sight of the runway for approaching aircraft.
