Woman injured after ambulance crashes

A blood donor attendant was injured yesterday morning after the ambulance she was travelling in crashed into a utility pole along Lamaha Street.

The injured woman was identified as Candika Daniels, 24, of Westminster, West Bank Demerara, who is attached to the West Demerara Regional Hospital.

The Guyana Police Force, in a report, stated that the driver of the ambulance, Dellon Daniels, 32, of Plantain Walk, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Bank Demerara, was proceeding east on the northern side of Lamaha Street, with the siren and beacon lights on.
