Alleged mastermind in GECOM arson case released on bail

William Roy Marshall, the alleged mastermind in the arson at the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) office at Wismar, Linden was yesterday released on $100,000 bail.

This was confirmed by Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum who informed Stabroek News that Marshall was released from police custody after the maximum 72 hours he could have been kept in custody without being charged expired.

Marshall is required to return to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Eve Leary today as the investigation continues.
