As the country’s COVID-19 inoculation programme continues, the Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, has reported that authorities currently only have both first and second doses for the Sinopharm and AstraZeneca vaccines.
This was disclosed during Dr Anthony’s daily COVID-19 update where he called for those who have received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine to return for their second doses.
As the minister was asked about the country’s vaccination programme, he reiterated that three vaccines are currently being used here, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and Sputnik V. He noted that while these are here, he expects that government will be receiving some additional vaccines including the one-dose, Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
