Agreement signed for increased wages and salaries for GTT workers

The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) and the Guyana Postal and Telecommunications Workers Union (GPTWU) on Friday signed an agreement for the increase in wages and salaries of workers.

The Department of Public Information (DPI) reported that the agreement for a 6% increase was signed by GTT’s Human Resources Director, Tiana Gurcharran, and President of the GPTWU, Harold Shepherd.

Acting Chief Labour Officer Michelle Baburam said the increase was for the period October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021, and will be reviewed in the next six months.
