Inquest ordered for Providence fatal stabbing

An inquest has been ordered by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to determine the circumstances of the death of Anthony Pakanram, who was fatally stabbed at Providence over a week ago.

Pakanram died on July 25, after he was stabbed by his former partner, who police said he had been threatening with a knife.

Commander of Region Four (B) Mahendra Sewnarine, when contacted yesterday, stated that the file on the matter was returned with the advice that an inquest be done. The accused was released on $100,000 station bail.
