Rural Constable held after collision leaves man hospitalised with internal bleeding

A Rural Constable is currently in custody after he was involved in an accident that left another man suffering from internal bleeding.

The Guyana Police Force yesterday reported that Quacy Jacobs, 35, of Lot 54 Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, who is a Rural Constable attached to the Lodge Community Policing Group, was driving a Home Affairs Ministry vehicle at the time of the accident.

The victim of the accident, the now hospitalised Kareem Abdul-Jabar, 53, of Lot 2 `CC’ Eccles Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, was the driver of a jeep.
