Pigeon Island pedal cyclist hospitalised after being struck by car

A twenty-three-year-old Pigeon Island pedal cyclist is currently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) nursing injuries he received after he allegedly rode into the path of a car on the Chateau Margot Public Road, East Coast Demerara, Saturday night.

The injured man has been identified as Timothy Bacchus of Lot 114 Pigeon Island, East Coast Demerara.

According to a police report, the car, PYY3530, which was involved in the accident, was driven by 52-year-old Aszim Baksh of Lot 123 Phase 1, Good Hope, East Coast Demerara.
