Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill on Saturday commissioned over a dozen roads, costing over $250 million, on the West Coast Demerara.

According to the Department of Public Information (DPI), the roads were commissioned in Uitvlugt, Tuschen, Zeelugt, Hydronie and Parika.

“Our number one priority is taking care of people, improving their lives and their livelihoods. We did what you ask for, a promise fulfilled, and it’s time for you to take over and run it,” Edghill was quoted as saying in an address to residents of the five communities.
