Roraima plane crash-lands after mechanical problems

The Roraima Airways, Britten-Norman Trislander aircraft after it crash-landed yesterday

Five persons, including a toddler, escaped with minor injuries yesterday after a Roraima Airways aircraft crash-landed in the vicinity of the Haags Bosch Sanitary landfill facility, on the East Bank of Demerara, after experiencing mechanical problems.

The Ministry of Public Works and the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed the incident, which took place around 11.30 am.

The aircraft, a Britten-Norman Trislander bearing registration No. 8R GRE, was expected to land at the Eugene F. Correia International Airport, Ogle.
