Country saw record turnout for vaccinations on Monday – Anthony

Over 5,000 persons were on Monday vaccinated across the country with Region One currently leading the country’s inoculation programme.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony yesterday who stated that Monday was a “good day” for the country’s inoculation programme. “We have been seeing a steady sum of persons coming to get vaccines and just yesterday alone we recorded one of the highest number of persons coming for vaccines.”

He noted that 5,505 persons received vaccines on Monday, 2,942 of which were first doses, while the remaining 2,563 accounted for the second dose numbers. This, he said, made it one of the best days that the ministry has seen in terms of total persons immunised.
