Three more seniors with COVID confirmed dead

The Ministry of Health on Friday confirmed three more COVID-19 fatalities along with 111 new cases of the virus.

The three fatalities were identified by the ministry as an 89-year-old woman from Region One, and a 74-year-old man from Region Ten, who died on August 18, as well as an 80-year-old man from Region Ten, who died on June 8. The ministry did not explain the reason for the over two month delay in confirming the Region Ten death, which raises the death toll for June.

In a brief statement, the ministry noted that the country’s death toll as a result of the virus has increased to 591 with the latest deaths.
