The Guyana Power and Light (GPL) yesterday said that a malfunctioning fuel inlet valve triggered several blackouts on Monday in Georgetown.
In a statement, GPL said that at approximately 3:54 pm on Monday, its Kingston 2 Plant with a generation availability of approximately 36 Megawatts (MWs) went offline, affecting service to some customers in Georgetown, East Coast Deme-rara, East Bank Demerara, West Coast Demerara and East Bank Essequibo.
