Guyana’s COVID-19 vaccination programme for adolescents saw strong support yesterday.

The programme continued at the Bladen Hall Multilateral School on the East Coast of Demerara and the Diamond Secondary School on the East Bank and saw hundreds of children turning up for their vaccines.

During his daily COVID-19 update, Health Minister, Dr Frank Anthony stated that the exercise has been quite good so far and as of Monday, some 2,176 children received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine which has been given full approval by the United States’ Food and Drug Administration.
