Dottin says batting let WI Women down in first ODI

West Indies Women vice-captain, Deandra Dottin says bigger partnerships are needed.a

West Indies Women’s team vice-captain, Deandra Dottin, believes it was a misfiring batting attack that led to the loss in the first One Day International against South Africa Women on Tuesday.

The hosts, West Indies Women, were bowled out for 153 which South Africa Women easily chased with seven wickets in hand and more than 10 overs to spare.

According to Dottin who was speaking at the post match interview, “I don’t think we played our best cricket today in terms of batting. I think the top order at least somebody should have batted through and stayed there, I just think we were short of partnerships. I think 150 we were a bit short.”
