Teacher hurt after men pelt Leonora bar in curfew row

Police are on the hunt for four men who pelted bottles leaving a teacher injured on Sunday night after the owner of a Leonora, West Coast Demerara (WCD) bar informed them that he would closing in keeping with the national COVID-19 curfew.

The police in a statement yesterday said that the incident took place around 9 pm  at Jit’s Sports bar situated at Leonora Back Street, WCD.

The teacher, who was a patron at the bar at the time was taken to the Leonora Hospital where he was treated and sent away.
