Kitty youth freed of robbery charge after accuser drops case

A Kitty youth was on Friday freed of one of three robbery charges he was faced with after one of his accusers told a city court that she wishes to discontinue the matter.

Shaquille Mentore, who had been remanded on the charges, was freed of the charge which states that on July 13, 2021, at Stabroek, Georgetown, he stole a gold chain, valued $64,000, and two gold rings, valued $30,000, from Cindy Lyttle.
