COVID-19 hotspots still present in six regions

As COVID-19 cases in Guyana continue to rise, hotspots remain in regions Two, Three, Four, Six, Seven, and Ten.

This was disclosed during Dr Frank Anthony’s daily COVID-19 update on Thursday when he stated that the hotspots currently remain the same as was previously reported. He noted that while there are several areas in Region Two that have reported cases, there are approximately 37 cases in the Wakapoa area and a total of 157 cases in the region.

The minister added that Region Three, which has seen a significant increase in cases, currently has some 1,414 infections with a number of villages and communities having a high number.
