Rice lands in Dartmouth in Region Two are currently inundated as the region continues to experience high rainfall.

Two sluices are also currently under repair and are blamed as factors in the flooding of the farmlands and a high build-up of water in the Lima community. According to farmers who are cultivating rice in the Dartmouth area their crops are in the preparatory phase and they are concerned. Residents in Lima Housing Scheme are currently underwater and according to residents, the water has not shown signs of receding. Poultry coops and kitchen gardens are currently under water and owners are now counting their losses.
