Tucville man gets bail on ganja trafficking charge after CANU find

A man who was allegedly held by Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) ranks with 44.5 grammes of cannabis was yesterday charged and granted bail.

Warren Broomes, 33, of Lot K7 Edun Street, Tucville Housing Scheme, was arraigned before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in a city court, where he was granted his release on $100,000 bail.

He denied that on October 22, at Macaw Road and Arapaima Street, Tucville, in the vicinity of Turning Point Sports club, he had 44.5 grammes of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.
