An alleged cattle rustler was on Tuesday arrested in the Mibicuri Black Bush Polder pump station area, after police were informed that the suspect along with two others had pounced on a cattle ranch in Kokerite savannah on Monday evening stealing a cow and leaving a watchman with injuries.
Cattle farmer, Seenarine Deonarine, also known as ‘Papo’, 64, of Kilmarnock Village, Corentyne, Berbice, explained, that around 7 pm on Monday evening, three men attacked his ranch located in Kokerite Savannah and beat his watchman. “They had a gun and them beat up the watchman and force him to hand over the cow”, Deonarine relayed last evening.
His watchman has since received medical attention from the Mibicuri Hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained during the attack.
