A Venezuelan national was fatally stabbed just after midnight on Saturday during an argument as he was on his way home at Ruby Backdam, East Bank Essequibo.
The dead man has been identified as 24-year-old Tony Birza called “Bush.” The suspect, who has been identified remains at large.
Police in a report yesterday said that Birza and his brother were consuming alcohol at a shop in the village and at about 9.35pm, departed for home.
