Hyatt-branded hotel ‘ready to go’

Though some top-tier jobs will not be immediately available to Guyanese, there will be ample employment opportunities for locals during the construction and operational phases for the Hyatt-branded hotel, Chairman of SIR Investment Guyana Imtiaz Ahamad yesterday said.

Ahamad’s company yesterday turned the sod for the construction of the US$32.2m property at Providence, East Bank Demerara.

Speaking with Stabroek News on the sidelines of the event, Ahamad said that his company is committed to supporting all aspects of local content during the developmental and operational stages of the project.
