The Chief Education Officer Dr. Marcel Hutson on Friday announced that the programme to inoculate children ages 5 to 11 against COVID-19 will commence this Friday.
Dr. Hutson on Friday sent out a memorandum to Regional Education Officers across the country, informing them of the vaccination programme. The memorandum states, “with the approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to be administered to the 5 to 11 years age category, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Education will begin the rollout of the scheduled vaccination programme for this age cohort from Friday, November 19, 2021.”
