The Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC), has congratulated West Indian and Guyanese legend Shivnarine Chanderpaul on his recent appointment as batting consultant for the High Performance Camp in Antigua and Barbuda.
This was expressed via a press statement from the club. According to the correspondence, the training camp will form part of the West Indies Rising Stars U19 preparation for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, which is scheduled to be hosted in the Caribbean during the period of January-February 2022.
“The GCC has been privileged to be associated with Mr. Chanderpaul since his formative years as an upcoming, outstanding West Indies batsman and has been pleased to continue this association with him throughout his highly successful career and, even further during his emerging coaching career”, the release stated.
