Task Force gives GCB green light

Cricket is expected to resume locally

The National COVID-19 Task Force has granted the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) approval to resume cricketing activities, according to a release from GCB yesterday.

“The National Covid-19 Task Force recently gave written approval to the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) to resume cricket activities in Guyana. This approval came after the GCB was instructed in September, 2021, to suspend activities,” the release stated.

The correspondence further added, “With this approval, the GCB is now set to roll off its list of regular competitions at all levels including inter-county and women’s cricket.”
