700 to benefit as Kamarang gets first potable water supply

A new water supply system was commissioned on Wednesday in Kamarang, Region Seven and over 700 persons are expected to benefit from a potable water supply for the first time.

The system was installed by the Guyana Water Inc (GWI), with the well, being 150 meters in depth.

According to a GWI press release, along with the new system, 3000 meters of 50mm pipelines were installed and distributed to networks of over 2,400 meters of 19mm lines for service connections of 25 individual public buildings and stand pipes in the area.
