New Amsterdam fire leaves four homeless

A fire last evening destroyed a house in New Amsterdam leaving a family of four uncertain of where they would spend the night.

According to information gathered, the fire completely destroyed the Lot 29, 12 Charles Place, New Amsterdam one-flat, two-bedroom house, which was being occupied by Marlon Dehaan, 24, labourer; his wife, Christina Nandalall, 25, housewife; and their two children ages 5 and 7 years old.
