Local boxers first up as Junior Pan Am Games kick off in Cali

Competitive action in the inaugural Junior Pan Am Games gets underway today in Cali, Colombia.

At the multi-sport event, Team Guyana is being represented in seven disciplines: athletics, badminton, boxing, squash, swimming, table tennis, and weightlifting.

The new Games is an international multi-sport event for athletes aged 17 to 22 in the Americas where 315 events in 28 sports are scheduled to be contested. Team Guyana’s boxers, Alesha Jackman, Patrick Harvey and Travis Inverary will start off Guyana’s medal hunt today.
