Team Guyana’s campaign got off to a rocky start during the first two days of the inaugural Junior Pan American Games in Colombia
In badminton, Akili Haynes, Priyanna Ramdhani and Tyrese Jeffrey all went down in straight sets. Haynes lost to Guatemala’s Christopher Salvador, 6-21, 11-21, while Ramdhani was defeated by the USA’s Natalie Chi, 5-21, 2-21.
