Standout powerlifter, Carlos Petterson-Grifith will be unable to compete for the remainder of 2021 as investigations continue into a possible anti-doping violation.
This is according to a letter received by the local governing body following Petterson-Grifith’ outstanding performance during his last international outing in August.
In the letter seen by this publication, it stated, “The Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPLF) has received an official notice of a possible Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) under the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) Anti- Doping Rules (“ADR”) by Mr. Carlos Petterson-Grifith.”
