Guyana’s table tennis players yesterday crashed out of the singles and doubles events of the inaugural Junior Pan Am Games in Cali, Colombia.
Top player Miguel Wong lost in the round of 32 last night after receiving a bye in the first round while Jonathan Van Lange lost in the round of 64 yesterday morning.
Wong lost to Elias Lopez of Paraguay 1-4. He had dropped the first two sets 6-11 and 10-12 before winning the third set 11-8.
However Lopez closed out the match by winning the next two sets 11-7 and 11-5.
