Tuschen man charged with trafficking over $113 million worth of cocaine

A Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo man was denied bail after being charged with trafficking over $113 million worth of cocaine.

Ryan DaSilva was arraigned at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday when Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty read the charge to him. He denied that on December 18, at Tuschen, he had in his possession, 17.4 kilogrammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

DaSilva was represented by attorney-at-law Dexter Todd who made an application for bail. However, Magistrate McGusty denied bail and adjourned the matter until January 21.
