The Mayor of Georgetown, Ubraj Narine, has blamed City Engineer, Colvern Venture and his department for an insouciant attitude towards their work which resulted in the incompletion of tasks for the year 2021.
At a press conference on Wednesday, the mayor stated that the City Engineer is making false claims and excuses for his department. “I cannot see why Mr. Venture would go to the public and say that he couldn’t achieve much (in) 2021 when he didn’t achieve (in) 2019 and 2020,” said Narine.
The mayor noted that on many occasions, resources were called for by the department and when they were bought no work was being done.
