More J&J shots expected

Approximately 25,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are expected to arrive in Guyana this week.

This was revealed by Minister of Health Dr. Frank Anthony during his daily COVID-19 update where he stated that the vaccines will be arriving in the country through the COVAX mechanism.

The vaccine which is currently being used as part of the country’s COVID-19 vaccination and booster programme has been in short supply recently. This vaccine was listed as the one to provide persons who were fully vaccinated with the Russian-made Sputnik V with booster doses.
