Ranks from the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are investigating the death of a young construction worker who yesterday succumbed while at the Infectious Diseases Hospital after having been stabbed by his stepfather.
Nineteen-year-old Isaiah Edwards, a construction worker of East La Penitence Squatting Area, Georgetown, succumbed while at the Hospital at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara. It is unclear whether the young man is a COVID-19 fatality or he succumbed to injuries sustained following the stabbing.
The police last night put out a wanted bulletin for Shawn Bobb, 30, in connection with the murder. His last known address is the East La Penitence Squatting Area.
