Convict remanded on charges of stealing jewellery, motorcycle

Andrew Ridley was on Wednesday remanded to prison after a court heard that he stole several pieces of gold jewellery and a motorcycle.

Ridley, 29, of Calendar and James streets, Albouystown, was arraigned before Magistrate, Annette Singh, at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, when the charges were read to him. Ridley denied that on December 13, 2022, at Independence Boulevard, Albouystown, he stole a motorcycle valued $235,000, property of Alex Blaire, and that on 24 January, at Calendar and James Streets, Albouystown, Georgetown, while being armed with a gun, he stole three cellphones, three gold chains, two gold bands, ten rings, and a purse, all with a combined total value of $4,569,500, property of Carla Stevenson.
